Currently 100% of our contracting companies purchase our six session EAP model. We could call it our "standard" model or we could call it our "all inclusive super delux model." It would still be the same. We are not opposed to designing a custom model to meet your comapny's needs. But we believe that this model best meets the EAP needs of most employees and employers, and so we offer it for your consideration.

Our EAP model offers:

six confidential HIPAA compliant EAP counseling sessions per year for the employee.
six confidential HIPAA compliant EAP counseling sessions per year for members of the employee's family who live with them.
individual, couple and family counseling as appropriate.
"call and go appointment scheduling"- no need to seek preauthorization to use benefit.
automatic renewal of sessions at new year roll over.
scheduling of face to face sessions within three business days of the initial call.
24/7/365 telephone coverage for after hours emergencies.
SAP services for DOT regulated employees (additional charge per DOT requirements)
Matrimonial/Divorce legal consultation with Divorce Mediator
supervisor telephone consultations.
annual EAP awareness orientation at the worksite.
attendence at benefit fairs or open enrollment sessions.
up to two Critical Incident Debriefing sessions per year in the workplace.
Supervisor orientation to EAP.
mandatory referral to EAP which includes unlimited EAP sessions to resolve workplace performance problems.
promotional materials including posters, wallet cards and brochures to promote EAP utilization.
monthly EAP newsletter.
semi-annual utilization report.
full access to the WellDirect Resource Library.
ability to continue with EAP counselor using insurance when EAP session benefit is exhausted.

Associates in Employee Assistance can offer employers fewer than six sessions. We could also offer more. However, we strongly encourage companies to consider purchasing a six session model. Here's six reasons why. . .

Problem assessment/identification takes at least 2 sessions. Building therapeutic rapport and trust is a process.

Implementing problem solving strategies usually begins in the second and third sessions. What a client does between sessions is critical.
Evaluation of problem solving strategies and "fine tuning" usually occurs in sessions four through six. Positive changes are reinforced.
Most clients who have utilized two or three "free" EAP sessions are unlikely to continue once they need to contribute to the cost of their sessions. It is too premature for them to see the benefit of counseling.
After six sessions a therapeutic alliance has been formed, clients begin to see results, and are more likely to continue if needed, at their own expense.
For companies that already have an EAP, a six session model with Associates in Employee Assistance may not cost any more than their current three session model.
